lockstep
Two or more machines running the same programme, for the purposes of discovering discrepancies. When more than two machines are used, the one machine that disagrees is usally defined as incorrect. This appears to be the system in use between NERV’s three magi.

And no, this will not become a daily feature. But just think how great it would be if it did…
